Objective
The Hybrid Professional Training Course aims to equip dancers, dance teachers, and dance school owners in Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Greece with core and advanced digital skills. This course prepares participants for the rapidly evolving digital landscape within the global dance sector. Through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live virtual workshops, attendees will gain practical knowledge and tools to enhance their digital competence in dance.
Course Overview
The Hybrid Professional Training Course is structured in two parts to provide a
comprehensive learning experience.
Part A is a 30-day self-paced eLearning course titled "Digital Dance Foundations" which includes six modules covering topics such as data management, internet research, social media proficiency, basic digital content creation, online collaboration techniques, and responsible online behavior. Participants will complete three quizzes to track their progress.
Part B consists of a 4-day live virtual workshop series titled
"Digital Innovations in Dance" with 12 hours of interactive sessions spread across topics like immersive and virtual dance performances, comparing video conferencing and capture technologies, digital choreography techniques, telematic dance, affordable motion capture tools, and ethical considerations in digital dance. Two quizzes will be included to assess participants’ understanding of the advanced techniques presented.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will leave the course with a comprehensive understanding of how to integrate digital tools into their dance practice and teaching methods. They will also be equipped to collaborate on projects and manage digital resources effectively. Upon completion, participants will receive certification.
